Planning for Brexit

Yes, well I’ve just (when I first drafted this blog post in March) seen this excellent piece of forward planning *sarcasm*…… Government Refuses to Plan for #Brexit Despite Poll Lead https://t.co/5pzynhpOlN via @BreitbartNews — ConservativeChitChat (@ConservativeCCh) March 1, 2016 So, let’s try come up with some plans ourselves, shall we? The first thing, based on a Tweet from Daniel Hannan I remember seeing a few months back saying we could knock around 60% off Council Tax. Based on this, I’m thinking maybe phase the cut in by reducing it by around 2 – 5% a year while using the excess to play catch-up on the crapload of Infrastructure repairs &

ConservativeChitChat’s Opinion on Politicians who say Britain can’t thrive outside the EU

Whenever you hear a politician on the TV, Radio or Social Media say that Britain can’t thrive outside the EU… is it just me, or do you also think when they say that, they are basically saying they’re a useless cunt who feels they’re totally incapable of running the United Kingdom without having someone else there to hold their hand, and therefore running for Parliament probably wasn’t the most suitable career choice they could’ve made? Gove’s statement on why he supports Brexit

Statement from Michael Gove MP, Secretary of State for Justice, on the EU Referendum Immediate release, 20 February 2016 For weeks now I have been wrestling with the most difficult decision of my political life. But taking difficult decisions is what politicians are paid to do. No-one is forced to stand for Parliament, no-one is compelled to become a minister. If you take on those roles, which are great privileges, you also take on big responsibilities. I was encouraged to stand for Parliament by David Cameron and he has given me the opportunity to serve in what I believe is a great, reforming Government. I think he is an outstanding

Some of the stuff that ConservativeChitChat Supports (UK Edition)

1) Brexit… Leaving the EU holds the key to being able to do alot of the stuff that many of the stuff I support likely depends on, like keeping proper tabs on immigration. 2) Flat Taxes… they’ve been yapping for too long about simplifying them, how about actually doing it? Introducing Flat Taxes would zap many loopholes, and encourage those with fat wallets to just cough-up what they owe, instead of paying accountants to find ways to wriggle out of paying more than they have to. 3) A £155 per week Minimum Citizens income…. originally touted by the Greens, and branded a bloody stupid idea because it would cost around

Hereditary Labour Voters & Sheep Shagging

With the 2015 General Election getting ever closer, you’ll no doubt start hearing stories about zombiefied sheeple voting Labour for no other reason than it being because their Grandad + other previous generations of relatives did so before them out of blind faith too. While doing something in the kitchen a few moments ago, I managed to crack myself up after a train of thought on a parr with a Billy Connolly stand-up routine on this subject popped into my head, and it was so damn funny (well I thought so anyway), I just had to write it down in this blog and share it. If people are voting Labour

Does Britain need a new fleet of medium/big bombers?

Once upon a time, Britain had at it’s disposal a whole caboodle of bombers to choose from including the Avro Vulcan, Vickers Valiant, Handley-Page Victor, the English Electric Canberra + the Blackburn Buccaneer. Now it doesn’t, apart from a fleet of fighter-bombers. I’ve been thinking of this and been meaning to blog about it for months (as usual), based on the fact the USA still has big bombers such as the Rockwell B1B + the Northrop B-2 + the trusty old B-52, while Russia also has a fleet of bombers such as the TU-95 + a new one showed off in the DM the other day (TU-160). Mainly because the

If you want to improve education, why d’ya want to teach them about ****ing Russell Brand?

Something else I mean’t to blog about for a while, and only just not gotten around to it: Post by Politics UK. If you want to improve A-Levels + education in general, why do you want them being taught about an idiot with a beard who’s mostly famous for shagging American pop star Katy Perry + sending funny phone calls to Manuel from Fawlty Towers, as well as writing books described as being full of complete crap? I have a much better idea – teach them about Jeremy Clarkson instead. He may often get slagged off as being an idiot, but just like Boris Johnson is actually way cleverer than

Would we be further ahead in the polls if we hadn’t laid back and thought of England when lefties attacked?

You may have noticed from the polls that even though Labour has some of the least liked politicians in the UK, such as Ed Balls, Mad Hattie Harperson + Liam “there’s no money left” Byrne, that the gap between them & us Conservative types in the polls is more like one of those touring car races where the drivers are knocking each other’s door mirrors off…. rather than being the polling equivalent of one of those old wet F1 races where Ayrton Senna would lap the entire field. I place the blame on the early days of the coalition, where lefties on social media groups such as this and this

You’d have to be f***ing insane to vote for the greens

You may have noticed a bit of a kerfuffle over the recent appearance of the leader of the Green Party in an interview on the BBC on Sunday. In case you missed it………. You would have to be mad to contemplate voting the Green Party after Andrew Neil grilled her policies. #voteUKIP pic.twitter.com/uxfMEal4Ua — exlab (@exlabourite) January 26, 2015 If you know anyone thinking of voting for crackpot Greens in May, please ask them to watch this @afneil interview. https://t.co/H4dDJiqYas — Iain Martin (@iainmartin1) January 25, 2015 See, told you it didn’t go too well, with the Telegraph describing the greens as Toddlers and many others being far less polite

Ed Miliband apparently made the worst speech ever today

Apparently the Labour Party have been holding their annual conference, and Ed Miliband made a speech as disasterous as a Top Gear caravanning holiday (only less entertaining) with it slated by both the media + politicians from the Conservatives, UKIP + his own side. In Twitchy(ish) style, here’s some of the best comments I’ve spotted on Twitter about it: Miliband’s speech set to last 80 minutes. By coincidence, that’s how long a base coat of Dulux paint takes to dry. — Tim Stanley (@timothy_stanley) September 23, 2014 Miliband sounding like a bank manager at an amateur dramatic reading of a Martin Luther King speech. #Lab14 — Mr W (@zackw_) September
