Going Rogue / Independent / Considering a “new home”

Some of the more observant among you may have noticed that ConservativeChitChat has been losing it’s MoJo recently, and you’d be right.

It’s not just because there isn’t any UK elections to sink my fangs into at the moment, it’s been kind of going on since the stitch-up to install May as PM after Cameron quit, and the party seems to have gravitated from positive fizz to spreading bollocks from Project Fear Mk1 and Mk2, and not really providing anything I can put much enthusiasm behind any more after the best part of many years of considering it the only sane choice before I even started seriously following politics or had any interest in paying attention to the news because I was young enough to be more interested in watching Thundercats or Rugrats. I first cast a vote for the party back in that fateful 1997 General Election some 21yrs ago when I was finally old enough, and officially started actually joining the party on-and-off probably around 2004/2005, maybe when I’ve been able to spare the membership fee.

It would appear I’m maybe not the only one been feeling this lately?

I’ll still back certain party politicians who still seem to be on my side of the argument, including (but not limited to):

  • Boris Johnson
  • Jacob Rees-Mogg
  • John Redwood
  • Priti Patel
  • Daniel Hannan
  • David Davis
  • Owen Paterson
  • Andrea Jenkyns
  • Penny Mordaunt
  • Philip Davies
  • David C. Bannerman
  • Liz Truss
  • Lucy Allan

I’ll probably also still pitch-in the occasional policy idea when time & energy allows, and try to keep the site and blog updating on a more frequent basis.
